Celebrating 100 years since the company’s first semiauto pistol was adopted by the Italian Military, Beretta now introduces a limited edition 92 Centennial collector’s edition. A limited number of this commemorative, fully-functional 92 that captures some of the lines and features of the Beretta Model 1915 of a century ago, will be imported to the United States. This single-action-only steel 92 has a frame-mounted safety (no decocker) and has the years 1915 and 2015 engraved in Roman numerals on either side of the Brigadier-style slide. The same numerals are featured around the medallion logo in the center of the premium-wood grip panels. The whole is contained in an ammo-can-style Beretta box, which also sports the anniversary dates. Only a month after Italy entered the First World War on the side of the allies, Beretta patented the Model 1915, which was immediately adopted by the Italian military. Chambered in 9mm Glisenti, a rather mild counterpart of the 9mm Parabellum on which it was actually based, the Model 1915 single-action semiauto featured a cutaway on the slide and a minimally-protruding barrel—two features that would become a hallmark of Beretta pistols in years to come. Curiously, it also had two safety devices: one frame-mounted in the rear (similar to the one we have “copied” for the 92 Centennial), the other located above the trigger. The 92 Centennial tastefully imitates some of these features while also showcasing the very best of what Beretta has achieved in the intervening century. Features Adjustable Sights Laser Micro-Pattern Engraving on the Slide Polished Barrel Brigadier Slide Steel Frame Frame-Mounted Safety Wood-Grips with Dedicated Medal

This firearm is equipped with a manual safety. A manual safety – when engaged – is designed to mechanically prevent the firearm from discharging when the trigger is pressed, either intentionally or unintentionally. You should consider whether a manual safety on a handgun is right for you based on your experience level and intended use, keeping in mind best practices for safe firearms handling. It is possible for the trigger to be unintentionally pressed even under normal handling circumstances.
A manual safety is designed to augment, not replace, safe firearm handling practices. You are responsible to protect against unintentional trigger movement while carrying any firearm. Even if you elect to purchase a pistol equipped with a manual safety, you must ensure that the trigger is not contacted in any circumstance other than when you intend to fire the pistol, particularly if you elect to carry your pistol with a round in the chamber. If you have a round in the chamber and the trigger is pressed to the rear, the pistol will fire, absent an engaged manual safety.
The P220 LEGION is an enhanced version of the gun that started it all for modern day SIG. Finished in a proprietary LEGION gray coating and featuring custom G-10 grips with a LEGION medallion, the P220 LEGION is improved in nearly every way. The stainless-steel slide sports SIG SAUER Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night sights as well as front cocking serrations that provide greater purchase for cycling the action, clearing the firearm or conducting press checks.
The P220 in DA/SA includes a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail, which allows for a higher grip and a reduced profile, thus eliminating printing. More aggressive front strap checkering and additional checkering under the trigger guard enhance the grip. An X-Five undercut has been applied to the trigger guard, allowing for a higher grip and greater control. The P220 LEGION also features low-profile decocking and slide-catch levers to reduce the risk of snagging. An enhanced polished action with the SRT (Short-Reset Trigger) is augmented with a Grayguns, Inc. designed P-SAIT trigger. In addition, a solid steel guide rod adds weight where it matters most. The P220 LEGION ships with three 8-round magazines.
