The SRT provides you the same great safety and smooth action of the SIG DA/SA with a comfortable short reset for faster trigger return and surgical control during high speed shooting. The P229 Elite Compact features a Beavertail frame, front strap checking and comes with SIGLITE Night Sights, and new to 2024, optics ready standard out of the box.

This firearm is not available with a manual safety. A manual safety – when engaged – is designed to mechanically prevent the firearm from discharging when the trigger is pressed, either intentionally or unintentionally. It is possible for the trigger to be unintentionally pressed even under normal handling circumstances.

If you have a round in the chamber and the trigger is pressed to the rear, the pistol will fire, absent an engaged manual safety.
